Cold-forged HAGANE gearing gives the Nasci the durability Shimano's flagship reels are built on, and SilentDrive tightens tolerances on every moving part so the retrieve is genuinely quiet and free of play. X-Ship supports the pinion gear at both ends, keeping gear mesh true under load and improving both cranking power and casting distance.

The 2500 is the all-rounder of the range — bass, walleye, trout and light inshore work.
