A 4+1 shielded stainless steel ball bearing system keeps retrieves smooth, while a heavy-duty aluminum bail wire and superline spool make line management straightforward — tie braid straight to the spool, no backing needed.

The 1000 is the lightest size in the range: trout, panfish, pond bass and light inshore work.
