A Hardbodyz machined aluminum body and side cover resist corrosion and flex, and the oversized Digigear drive runs noticeably larger than comparable reels for a longer gear life. The lightweight Air Rotor sheds about 15% of the weight of a conventional rotor while spreading stress more evenly across the frame, and the waterproof carbon ATD drag stays smooth with no stick when a good fish takes off.

The Dynamic Cut aluminum ABS spool is braid-ready with a reversed taper for full line use and easier casting, and Daiwa's screw-in handle removes play between the handle arm and the main gear.

Stocked in sizes 1500 through 8000 — light freshwater at the small end, heavy inshore and surf at the top.
